About the Publisher
Rick Ruddell is the Law Foundation Chair in police research at the University of Regina in Saskatchewan, Canada. Prior to his academic career he was a supervisor and manager within the Ministry of Corrections, Public Safety and Policing in Saskatchewan, Canada. A graduate of the Master of Criminal Justice program at New Mexico State University and the Ph.D. program in Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Missouri, St. Louis, Rick Ruddell’s first academic position was at the California State University – Chico, where he taught for five years, and then taught at Eastern Kentucky University until 2010. His scholarly work has focused on the operations of the criminal justice system, and has been published in over 150 scholarly works and 15 books. Dr. Ruddell has also served as Director of Operational Research for the Correctional Service of Canada.
